Our Easy 1, 2, 3...
Process
Our streamlined process provides ease, efficiency, and precision. Our expert team is dedicated to making it stress-free. Our user-friendly process can accommodate all needs. Trust us for top-notch service.
Based on the quote you received or Kwedu Exports provided you with, we will send you a complete CIF pricing. Taking into account the VAT refunds that we can offer to you as an upfront discount on the overall deal.Â
If you accept the CIF price, we’ll send you a Proforma Invoice, inviting you to proceed with the purchase transaction. We will share final details with you in terms of the logistical process, as well as estimated timing of despatch, etc. Upon receiving your invoice, please check that all the details are correct, and proceed with payment. Once you have sent us a TT slip or proof of payment, we will secure the vehicle with the dealership via a small holding deposit.
Once we have received your funds, we send the dealership all of our necessary company documents and invoice details. The dealership then sends an official purchase offer to Kwedu Exports, followed by an invoice.
The payment is immediately processed with the South African dealer and then we prepare your vehicle for export. From this point on, until you receive it, your vehicle is comprehensively insured under our Motor Policy. So, you can rest assured it is in safe hands. The only exception being ocean freight exports, where Marine cover gets quoted separately. We still cover the vehicle, though, until it gets packaged in the container. Kwedu Exports initiates the car export by collecting the original vehicle documents from the dealership.
Kwedu Exports will proceed with the vehicle inspection and prepare and arrange the necessary documentation for you. If you require any additional documents, please request them in advance so we can prepare them simultaneously.
At this point in the car export process, we will have booked your vehicle with an upcoming car carrier. In the case of a shipment, we will send you the booking confirmation with all the necessary details and documents. On completion of all pre-shipment documentation, permits and paperwork, we will email you and your local clearing agent all necessary export documents. We typically courier the originals along with any loose valuable vehicle items such as remotes and spare keys. We will also supply you with a track and trace number.
Kwedu Exports and your own nominated clearing agents will contact you to inform you of your vehicle delivery and arrival. We will specify your clearing agents’ details in the shipping and export documents. Prior to the arrival of your vehicle, it is normal for your clearing agent to handle all preclearance work so that arrival and border crossings are smooth. You will then receive your vehicle. Congratulations on a fantastic purchase!
